Collettivo Ctrl+S



Collettivo ctrl+S originated from the idea of an informal group of young architects who share the common goal of reflecting and working on forgotten urban instances, urban realities placed on the margins and compromised landscapes. These intentions have materialized in some initiatives carried out in the last year: Paese dei Libri, scenographic project for the book festival in Montescaglioso; Pozzallo casa delle donne, project of installations and cultural events designed to encourage reflections on gender equality in Pozzallo; Premio Federico Maggia, project for an open-air library in Vigliano Biellese.

The project proposed for Assume there's a Landscape Estate 2022 by Collettivo ctrl+s is presented in the form of a poetic and emotional tale of the seaside landscape, in which the members of the group turn their gaze to the locations of their childhood summers, whether they are places for vacations or residence.

The seaside landscape, although compared with the sea - an element perceived in the collective imagination as uncontaminated -has an anthropic nature. This landscape is constructed based on a temporary need, that of summer vacations, which despite its short duration in time, provokes permanent transformations on the territory, with which the residents of the aforementioned places must also confront in the "low season" period when the ephemeral need ceases to exist until the following summer.

The proposal aims to trace common and different features between places located in various regions and investigate the dynamics that led to the construction of a landscape sedimented over time that tries to respond to the needs that arose from the tourist flows of different kinds.
